The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a showcause notice to telecom and DTH operator Airtel over recent problems of blackout faced by several audiences of its Direct-to-Home (DTH) services during transition into the new tariff plan, sources said.
The note was delivered and the firm was awarded three days’ time individuals in understanding of the evolution told IANS.
In a declaration, TRAI stated that the ruler on Monday issued a direction to each of the supply platform operators (DPO) that there should be no withdrawal or discontinuance of tv stations in their stage by any TV supplier.
Responding to a question by IANS, an Airtel spokesperson stated:”We’ve got over 15 million clients who are being migrated into the new tariff plan. As a result of enormous surge in last-minute asks, especially on January 31 and February 1, few clients might have experienced some delays in provisioning of stations ”
“Customer experience is of utmost importance for us.
The tariff plan for DTH and cable TV solutions, which mandate customers to pick stations of the choice – both bouquets or stations – came into effect.
TRAI also stated in its statement:”The jurisdiction has discovered that because of heavy rush, the site of several DPOs have crashed intermittently along with a tiny annoyance was caused to emerge readers as a result of sporadic regional troubles. But by and large the migration of readers to the regulatory framework was smooth.”
